THOMAS JEFFERSON (1743-1826).  Third President and author of the Declaration of Independence. Very Rare Calling Card signed “Mr. Jefferson” demonstrating his often avoided use of titles which might insinuate an air of superiority. The card measures approximately 2 ¼” x 1 ¾”. Framed with a portrait and engraved plaque measuring overall 24 ½” x 23”. Suberb high quality crafted black and gold frame with ornate stars with a museum quality triple matte ensemble and finished with UF-3 plexiglas.
