Samuel Cook Silliman (1742 – 1795). Member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, serving in numerous sessions. Served as a delegate to the convention to ratify the U. S. Constitution which met in Hartford in January of 1788. DS. 1 page. 7 1/4”x 7 ¾”. Norwalk, November 19, 1787. An order to State Treasurer John Lawrence “That the. Lists & rateable estate of the Poor & Indigent of the Tow of Norwak in the grand list for the year 1786 ...ought to be abated...” Signed by Silliman as a Justice of the Peace. Fine .
