Maximilian I of Mexico (1832 - 1867). The only monarch during the Second Mexican Empire. Although many nations dismissed Maximilion and his administration, Maximilion was emperor from April, 1864 until his execution in 1867. Prior to his position as emperor, Maximilian garnered significant success in the Austrian Navy. This success is largely responsible for Maximilian to become emperor. Because many nations refused to accept Maximilian's emperorship, Benito Juarez's republican uprising was supported to the point that Maximilian was executed in 1867.
Document signed by Emperor Maximilian on September 16, 1865 in the Imperial Palace being an appointment of Don. Victor Perez C. Hemas to the position of Minister of State. Hemas was appointed due to his merit and circumstances. The document also notes the decree for this appointment was in the files of the empire, and it would be published in the official publication of the empire.
