Issued to and signed on verso by Amasa Junius Parker (1807 - 1890). United States Representative from New York as well as a New York Supreme Court justice. Parker also was a founder of the Albany Law School in 1851. Parker was well known for his adamant advocacy of the reforms that abolished the court of chancery.
