Timothy Lockwood Febry. 13, 1781 For Services of his company Coast Guards...”. Timothy was a Captain in the Connecticut State Troops and commanded the Coast Guards in Greenwich and died in 1782. As such the orders to payment Lockwood’s 2 orders was completed posthumously.

During the American Revolution, Connecticut played a crucial role along its coastline by organizing a form of local coast guard to defend against British naval incursions and protect commerce. The Coast Guard was a militia based coastal defense group which served to intercept British supply ships and other necessary task of a maritime defense force.
