William E. Boeing (1881 - 1956). Pioneer aircraft manufacturer. He formed the Boeing Airplane Company in 1916 and Boeing Air Transport in 1927, later merging with several other companies to form United Aircraft and Transport Corporation which dissolved in 1934. Washington, 1936. 10 ¾” x 8 ¼” stock certificate for 340 shares of the Miller Logging Company issued to and signed on the stub by Boeing. Black/Green. Vignette of a spread-eagle. Litho. The lumber company was in all likelihood held and run by Boeing to provide the necessary wood for the construction of his airplanes. This is one of only a dozen certificates of this type signed by Boeing. Pen cancellation not affecting Boeing's signature. An important addition to any aviation collection. Extremely Fine.
