Andrew W. Mellon (1855-1937) Mellon was a Pittsburgh banker and industrial visionary who was almost solely responsible for the aluminum and coke industries. He was heavily involved in the founding of several large industrial enterprises whose names are today recognize world-wide. President Harding appointed him Treasury Secretary when he was one of the world’s wealthiest men, and stayed on through the Coolidge Administration.

Signed Photo. 8” x 10” n.d n.p. A lovely photograph signed “A Mellon” and by five other members of the commission who negotiated the Mellon-Berenger Agreement in April of 1926. The agreement defined the terms of repayment of France's debt to the United States following World War I.  It is in excellent condition.
