Bradley having been requested by the officers and men of the Rifle Mounted Battalion to accept the command of said battalion as Major threreof, and having signified his desire to accept the commission now tendered to him by the suffrages of the Battalion, is relieved from duty as a member of teh Brigade Staff from this date. He will proceed immediately to the command of the battalion of Mounted Rifles with the rank of Major, subject of course to the approval of the President and will be obeyed and respected accordingly.
