Grover Loening (1888 - 1976). American aircraft engineer. An aviation pioneer, Grover Loening received the first Master's degree in aeronatics in America. He employed steel frame monoplanes and developed seaplanes. His company merged with Curtiss-Wright and he contined to consult and make improvements throughout his life.DS. 2pp. 11 1/4" x 8". Delaware. October 6, 1937. A Pan American Airways Corporation stock for 100 shares issued to and signed by aviation pioneer Grover Loening on the attached stock assingment. The front has a facsimile signature of Juan Trippe. The piece is lightly punch cancelled and it barely touches Loening's signature, but the overall condition is fine.
